1,000 Travel Industry
Professionals Expected To
Attend TravelMart LatinAmerica 2010 In Lima, Peru.
(Jacksonville, Florida, USA & Lima,
Peru) An estimated 1,000 tourism professionals including Buyers from
global markets and Suppliers from every Latin America Country are
expected to attend the 34th Annual TravelMart LatinAmerica in Lima,
Peru, September 22, 23 and 24, at the recently renovated Real Felipe
Fortress.
TravelMart LatinAmerica was first held
in Lima 1978, and this will be the fourth time that this prestigious
business development Event for Latin America tourism will be returning
to Peru. TravelMart LatinAmerica was last held here in 2005. Last year’s
TravelMart LatinAmerica was held in the Patagonia Region of Chile.
Over 300 Travel Industry “Buyers” from
the world’s most important markets, including the United States, Canada,
Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, and over 250 Supplier Companies from all
Latin America destinations attend each year. Highly qualified
International Travel Journalists also participate. The Event features an
exclusive Select-Match “pre-scheduled appointments system” that arranges
meetings between “Buyers and Suppliers” in advance. Almost 8,000
business appointments are expected to be pre-scheduled for this year’s
TravelMart LatinAmerica. TravelMart LatinAmerica attendance has
traditionally been “sold out,” and that is expected to occur again this
year. This “balanced” Buyer/Supplier registration helps assure that
TravelMart LatinAmerica delegates will have a productive and enjoyable
experience.
All the TravelMart LatinAmerica 2010
business sessions will be held at the Real Felipe Fortress. The Buyers
and Suppliers will be staying at Hotels that are members of Sociedad
Hoteles del Peru. Host Hotels that are providing accommodations for
Buyers include: Casa Andina, Country Club, Crowne Plaza, Doubletree El
Pardo, Hotel Libertador, JW Marriott, Melia, Miraflores Park, Novotel,
Plaza del Bosque, Sheraton, Sofitel, Sonesta El Olivar, and Thunderbird
Principal.
Most of the TravelMart LatinAmerica
delegates will be visiting several tourism sites throughout Peru by
taking advantage of special Pre and Post Tours.
Some of this year’s primary sponsors
include: PromPeru, Canatur, Sociedad Hoteles del Peru, Brazil, Quito
Visitors’ Bureau, Oro Verde Hotels, Hotel Quito, and Rainforest
Alliance. LAN, the Official Host Country Airline, and American Airlines,
the TravelMart LatinAmerica Official Airline Sponsor, are offering
special promotional fares for Buyers and Suppliers.
Mrs. Irma Coleman, President & CEO of
William H. Coleman, Inc., the TravelMart LatinAmerica organizing
company, said: “We are very excited about once again bringing TravelMart
LatinAmerica back to Lima, the Event’s actual “birth place!” Many
TravelMart LatinAmerica Buyers and Suppliers have visited Peru before,
but this will be an excellent opportunity for them to personally
experience the many changes and advances that are continually happening
in the Peru Travel Industry.” Mrs. Coleman also stated: “The TravelMart
LatinAmerica Host Committee is a group of dedicated professionals who
have been working very hard for almost two (2) years to make this Event
successful, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to
Lima.”
